It is important to
note that in the 2011 the breed name was officially changed to
Bantam Bulldogge, the word "English" was dropped from the
breed's name by the Bantam Bulldogge's official National Registry the
United Canine Association.
Our
family has always had a passion for animals and as a family we have been involved with various bully breeds by either
showing, judging, training or breeding since 1987.
Around 1989 we became very interested in rare dog breeds,
specifically rare
Bulldogs and Bulldogges. Its was at that time that we began studying and researching several
rare Bulldog breeds
such as the American Bulldog, Olde
English Bulldogge and the
Olde Boston Bulldogge.
Micro Bullies ended up owning examples of each of
those breeds and truly feeling in love with the Olde English
Bulldogge but always wanted a toy sized Bulldog or Miniature
Bulldog of some sort.
In 1992 we did several foundational breedings with various
smaller sized Bulldog breeds and started creating our line of
bantam sized Miniature Bulldogs. With these first
breedings we got our chance to own our first
foundational Bantam Bulldogges and we instantly fell in love
with the smaller Toy Bulldogs.
This was the beginning of Micro Bullies' Bantam Bulldogge breeding program.
Our Bantam Bulldogges are not Miniature English Bulldogs,
Miniature Olde English Bulldogges or Shorty Bulls.
Although there are examples for some of those previously
mentioned that we admire our Bantam Bulldogges are our own
unique interpretation of the historical Toy Bulldog of the 1800s
and our efforts to recreate a modern version of the Toy Bulldog
of Olde.
In short the English Bantam Bulldogge or as it is registered the
Bantam Bulldogge is a rare breed that was first
recognized and
registered by its' national club, the
United Canine
Association
(UCA) and since recognized and allowed registration by the
International Olde English Bulldogge Association
(IOEBA) as well.
Today the Bantam Bulldogge is enjoying an explosion of
popularity worldwide. The increased interest in the Bantam
Bulldogge breed over the last several years is due in part to the public
becoming more aware of this incredible
miniature sized Bulldog as well as the Bantam Bulldogge's improved health and the breed's convenient and
manageable size.
The original Miniature Bulldog that the Bantam Bulldogge is bred
to emulate was a
healthier, structurally correct Miniature Bulldog referred to
historically as the "Toy Bulldog" that shared
many of the same characteristic of today's Bantam Bulldogges.
Micro Bullies is
committed to the Bantam Bulldogge and
believe that through thoughtful selective breeding, health
screening, temperament testing, hard work and dedication
that the Bantam Bulldogge of
today can be bred back into a healthy Toy Bulldog of Olde.

committed to applying our demonstrated experience and knowledge, to producing
2nd to None Bantam Bulldogges.
Our Bantam Bulldogges are bred with great emphasis on a temperament that allows them to excel as wonderful
family companions.

a exceptional family companion rather than producing a puppy
with extreme "drive".

Bantam Bulldogge
Breed Standards
as provided by the
United Canine Association
and
International Olde English Bulldogge
Association.
